About Us

The St Davids Festival of Ideas is a not-for-profit social enterprise.

The Festival was conceived and is run on a voluntary basis by a small, committed group of residents of St Davids and Solva.

Working through 2019, we created a launch event in October 2019 and arranged a 3-day festival in St Davids in April 2020. Due to the Covid Pandemic, we had to postpone this and ran a highly successful online festival in Spring of 2021. For more information and to watch some of the 2021 sessions, please look here.

The organisers of the Festival of Ideas include

Sarah Rowland-Jones – Dean of St Davids Cathedral.

Susan Denman – Emeritus Professor of Heath at Cardiff University.

John Osmond – writer, journalist and political adviser

Ifor Thomas – founder of the Edge Festival, Solva.

Mollie Roach – founder of Solva Care.

Andy Middleton – founder of TYF Adventures.

David Lloyd – former County Councillor for St Davids ward.

Amanda Stone – psychotherapist and campaigner.
